Open the debrief
Start from a saved recording.
Open a jump in Logbook and select Jump Analysis. Full analysis requires Pro and recorded evidence; a manually entered summary cannot supply a GPS or sensor history.
Choose the section.
Use Overview, Exit & Freefall, Opening, Canopy or Landing to move to the part of the jump you want to inspect.
Read the source and coverage.
Check available measurements and evidence labels before interpreting a chart. Gaps, unavailable states and low support describe the recording, not a performance score.
Use the floating timeline
Pick your scope.
Choose a whole phase, a custom interval, or the final 60, 30 or 15 seconds where offered.
Move the shared cursor.
Scrub the floating timeline or select a key moment. Linked chart readouts and flight views follow the same recorded time.
Scroll without losing your place.
The timeline stays accessible while you move through the page. Review the interval’s time, supported travel and height change alongside the charts.
Horizontal speed, observed glide and descent angle are ground-relative. Smoothed speed estimates are labelled analysis layers. Unsupported measurements stay unavailable.
Explore the flight in 3D
Open 3D Replay.
From the jump analysis, open the recorded path in 3D. Use full screen when you want more space.
Frame the route.
Orbit, pan and zoom. Use the visible reset/fit controls to recover the whole route, then explore overhead and side profiles for another view.
Control time.
Play, pause, restart or scrub. Choose a playback speed from 0.25× to 4×.
Choose the display.
Select Recorded fixes or the labelled Smoothed display. Show the whole route or reveal it only up to the cursor.
Review opening and landing markers
Open the marker review.
Choose Review flight markers in Analysis tools to open Analysis boundaries and review the moments used by Jump Analysis.
Choose an exact retained moment.
Use Set or Edit for an available marker. Every selection snaps to an actual retained sample. Review the surrounding charts and recording before choosing it.
Add context and save.
Save a note where useful. Use the paired opening-range control when you want to set the opening interval together.
Inspect the result.
Return to the analysis. Exact-marker results appear only when the necessary reviewed boundaries and evidence exist. Review history records manual edits and resets.
Compatible Apple Watch motion evidence reports wrist acceleration-vector magnitude including gravity. It is not a whole-body G or opening-force measurement.
Read heart rate by phase
Open the heart-rate view in the analysis. Read the samples against climb, freefall, opening, canopy and landing. Phase averages and maxima summarize only supported readings; gaps and sample times remain visible.
Apple Watch needs the relevant Health permission and retained samples. Garmin uses readings present in its FIT activity. Older summary-only jumps retain their averages/maxima without a fabricated timeline. This is recording context, not a health assessment.
Compare two to four jumps
Choose Compare jumps.
Open the comparison from Analysis tools.
Search and select recordings.
Use the selection sheet to choose two to four recorded jumps. Add or change a selection without losing the comparison view.
Compare like-for-like evidence.
Use phase-relative time and compatible units. Keep canopy, configuration, source and coverage in view. Missing intervals cannot support the same conclusions as complete ones.
Inspect the selected interval.
Review supported measurements and any available reviewed landing results. Follow each recording back to its own analysis when you need detail.
Comparison does not rank jumpers or recommend a training plan.
